Personal trainer certification prep

Get certified. Understand the why.

Learn the science behind good coaching. AmiFit helps you work through your chosen certification, make sense of difficult concepts and connect what you study to the people you will train.

Why certification matters

A credential opens the door. Knowledge helps you coach.

A trainer needs more than a list of exercises. Learn to assess a starting point, explain a decision and adapt a program when a real person does not fit the textbook example.

01

Build professional credibility

Show clients and employers that your knowledge has been assessed against a recognized professional standard.

02

Access better career opportunities

Meet the qualification requirement used by many gyms, studios and fitness employers.

03

Master evidence-based methods

Understand assessment, program design, coaching and safety well enough to apply them with real people.

04

Enter the profession prepared

Begin with a stronger foundation, clearer decisions and support for your next career step.

What you'll learn

A practical tour of personal training, from how the body moves to the choices a coach makes in every session. Each topic builds toward knowledge you can use with a real client.

Chapter 01 / Foundations

Understand the body

Start with the science and the person you will coach.

Read the body

See how muscles, joints and movement patterns work together, so a squat, press or hinge becomes more than an exercise name.

Understand why training works

Connect energy, fatigue, adaptation and recovery. Learn why a program changes over weeks, not just what to do today.

Find the right starting point

Use goals, health screening and fitness assessments to understand the person in front of you before you plan their first session.

Chapter 02 / Training

Build the program

Turn movement knowledge into sessions that progress.

Teach movement with confidence

Choose, demonstrate and cue exercises. Learn when to adjust a movement so it works for the client you have.

Build strength with purpose

Make sense of sets, reps, load and rest. Put them together in resistance sessions that can progress as a client grows stronger.

Make cardio make sense

Understand intensity, endurance and aerobic adaptation, then choose cardio methods that serve a specific goal.

Turn workouts into a program

Link individual sessions into a plan with progression, review points and room to adapt when life changes.

Chapter 03 / Coaching

Guide the person

Communicate clearly, stay within scope and work safely.

Know the nutrition basics

Understand energy balance, nutrients and hydration, and learn how to discuss nutrition within a trainer's professional scope.

Coach the person, not just the reps

Ask better questions, set useful goals and explain your decisions in language a client can act on.

Work safely and professionally

Recognise warning signs, respect your scope, document decisions and know when to involve another qualified professional.

Your learning journey

From the first question to exam day.

Live teaching gives you space to ask why. Notes, quizzes and revision help you turn that understanding into something you can explain and use.

  1. 01

    Choose your direction

Discuss your certification, career goal, existing knowledge and target exam date. Agree on a starting point.

  2. 02

    Build the science foundation

Work through anatomy, physiology and movement in live classes with no more than eight students. Ask questions as you learn.

  3. 03

    Learn your certification's framework

Connect the core science to your syllabus, terminology and training models. Revisit chapter notes as your instructor releases them.

  4. 04

    Apply it to a client

Use practical examples to reason through assessments, exercise choices and progressions. Explain why a decision makes sense.

  5. 05

    Practise, review and revise

Take assigned quizzes and review released results. Use your incorrect answers and timing to identify where revision will help most.

  6. 06

    Prepare for your next step

Bring the syllabus together for exam preparation and discuss how to keep developing as a trainer. Your official exam is administered by the certification issuer.
